Overview
The Fractal Design Lumen S24 V2 is a 240mm all-in-one liquid CPU cooler designed for builders who want effective thermal management paired with a clean, customisable aesthetic. At its core is a copper base plate that draws heat away from modern processors, transferring it through low-permeability rubber tubes wrapped in braided nylon sleeves to an aluminium radiator measuring 272 mm × 120 mm × 27 mm. Articulating elbow fittings keep the tubing relaxed and reduce mechanical stress on the cold plate housing, making installation more manageable in tight cases. The unit ships with two 120 mm Fractal Design Aspect fans, each spinning between 500 and 2000 RPM via PWM control. At minimum speed the fans produce as little as 10 dB(A), rising to 33.2 dB(A) at full load — a range that allows the system to stay near-silent during light tasks and ramp up only under sustained CPU stress. Airflow spans 13–56 CFM with static pressure between 0.23 and 2.34 mmH2O. The fans use rifle bearings and carry a rated mean time to failure of 90,000 hours. The pump operates at a fixed 4000 RPM on 12 V / 340 mA with ceramic bearing technology and a stated MTTF of 50,000 hours. Pump noise is rated at 22 dB(A). Thermal paste is pre-applied to the cold plate, removing one setup variable for first-time builders. For lighting, six ARGB LEDs are integrated into the pump head. The removable top cap can be rotated in 90-degree increments so the Fractal Design logotype reads correctly regardless of radiator mounting orientation. RGB ecosystem compatibility covers ASUS AURA Sync, Gigabyte RGB Fusion, MSI Mystic Light, ASRock Polychrome Sync, and Razer Chroma.
