The Fractal Design Torrent Solid (Black) is an E-ATX mid-tower PC case engineered around a single objective: maximising airflow without sacrificing build flexibility. Unlike windowed variants, the Solid edition features an opaque steel front panel that channels air directly through the chassis, making it an ideal choice for builders who prioritise thermal headroom over aesthetics. Five fans come pre-installed out of the box — two 180 × 38 mm Dynamic GP-18 PWM fans at the front and three 140 mm Dynamic GP-14 PWM fans at the bottom — delivering substantial static pressure and volume from the moment your system powers The open internal layout removes obstructions between the intake fans and critical components, allowing cool air to flow directly over the GPU and motherboard without restriction. The Torrent Solid supports up to seven fan mounts in total, accommodating seven 120/140 mm or four 180 mm fans across the front, bottom, and rear positions. Radiator builders will appreciate front support for up to a 420 mm unit (including 360 × 180 mm configurations), bottom support for radiators up to 458 mm in length, and a rear slot rated for 120 or 140 mm radiators. Both the front and bottom positions accept extra-thick radiators in push-pull configurations.
