The Gigabyte WRX80-SU8-IPMI is a CEB-form-factor workstation motherboard built around the AMD WRX80 chipset and the sWRX8 socket, designed to pair with AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO 3000WX series processors supporting up to 64 cores. It features eight DDR4 DIMM slots arranged in an 8-channel memory architecture, supporting UDIMM (ECC), RDIMM, 3DS RDIMM and LRDIMM modules at speeds up to DDR4 3200 MHz, with a maximum system memory capacity of 1024 GB — making it suitable for memory-intensive workloads such as 3D rendering, data science and virtualization. Expansion is handled by seven PCIe 4.0 slots: six running at x16 electrical bandwidth and one at x8, enabling flexible multi-GPU or compute-accelerator configurations. Gigabyte has engineered the PCB, PCIe slots, M.2 connectors, re-drivers and switches specifically for PCIe 4.0 signal integrity across all interfaces.
