Overview
The Gigabyte B450M DS3H WiFi is a Micro ATX motherboard built on the AMD B450 chipset, designed for the AM4 socket platform. It is compatible with AMD Ryzen 1st and 2nd Generation processors as well as AMD Ryzen and Athlon processors with integrated Radeon Vega Graphics, making it a practical foundation for budget and mid-range AM4 builds. Memory support spans four DDR4 DIMM slots with a dual-channel architecture, accommodating up to 64 GB of system memory. The board supports DDR4 speeds from 2133 MHz up to 3600 MHz in overclocked mode, along with XMP profiles for straightforward memory tuning. Connectivity is a standout feature of this board. An Intel Dual Band 802.11ac wireless module with Bluetooth 4.2 is integrated board, supplemented by a Realtek Gigabit Ethernet port. The M.2 Socket 3 connector supports both PCIe 3.0 x4 and SATA modes, accepting drives in 2242, 2260, 2280, and 22110 form factors. Four SATA 6 Gb/s ports round out the storage options, with RAID 0, RAID 1, and RAID 10 support available. The back panel provides one HDMI 2.0 port (up to 4096×2160 at 60 Hz when using a compatible APU), four USB 3.1 Gen 1 ports, four USB 2.0 ports, a PS/2 combo port, two SMA antenna connectors, an RJ-45 Ethernet jack, and three audio jacks. Audio is handled by the Realtek ALC887 codec with High Definition Audio support, delivering up to 7.1-channel output (HD front panel module required for 7.1 configuration) plus S/PDIF output. Smart Fan 5 provides five temperature sensor inputs and two hybrid fan headers that support both PWM and voltage-mode fans, including the Fan Stop function to silence fans when temperatures fall below a user-defined threshold. Gigabyte RGB Fusion 2.0 manages the board RGB headers, which include one CPU cooler LED/RGB header, one standard RGB LED header, and two addressable LED strip headers.
