The Gigabyte B550 Aorus Elite AX WiFi is an ATX-form-factor motherboard built on the AMD B550 chipset for Socket AM4, designed to pair with 3rd Generation AMD Ryzen processors and 3rd Generation AMD Ryzen processors with Radeon Graphics. Its 12+2 phase digital VRM, using 50A DrMOS components and an Intersil digital PWM controller, delivers stable, precise power to demanding Ryzen CPUs without requiring compromise on voltage stability under sustained workloads. Memory support is broad: four DDR4 DIMM slots accept up to 128 GB total (32 GB per slot), spanning native speeds of 2133–3200 MHz and overclocked profiles up to DDR4 4000 (O.C.) with 3rd Gen Ryzen, or up to DDR4 4733 (O.C.) with Ryzen APUs. ECC unbuffered and XMP modules are both supported. Storage options include two M.2 slots with thermal guards — the CPU-connected M2A slot supports PCIe 4.0 x4 NVMe drives with 3rd Gen Ryzen, while the chipset-connected M2B slot supports PCIe 3.0 x4 NVMe.
