The GIGABYTE B550M Aorus Pro AX is a Micro ATX motherboard built on the AMD B550 chipset for Socket AM4 processors. It supports AMD Ryzen 5000 Series, Ryzen 5000 G-Series, Ryzen 4000 G-Series, and Ryzen 3000 Series CPUs, making it a capable platform for a wide range of AMD builds ranging from everyday productivity to gaming workloads. Power delivery is handled by a 10+2 phase Digital Twin Power Design using 50A DrMOS components, backed by enlarged VRM heatsinks to manage heat under sustained loads. Memory support spans four DDR4 DIMM slots capable of holding up to 128 GB total (32 GB per DIMM) in dual-channel configuration. XMP profiles are supported, and speeds reach DDR4-4266 (O.C.) with Ryzen 5000 series processors. Storage connectivity includes two M.2 slots: one CPU-attached slot supporting PCIe 4.0 x4 NVMe drives (types 2242/2260/2280/22110) and one chipset-attached slot supporting PCIe 3.0 x4 NVMe drives (types 2242/2260/2280).
