The GIGABYTE B650 Aorus Elite AX ICE is a full-size ATX motherboard built on the AMD B650 chipset for the AM5 platform, designed to support AMD Ryzen 7000, Ryzen 8000, and Ryzen 9000 series processors. Its clean white aesthetic pairs a robust power delivery system with a comprehensive feature set that suits both high-performance gaming rigs and productivity workstations. At the heart of the board is a Twin 12+2+2 phase digital VRM solution, backed by an advanced thermal design and dedicated M.2 thermal guards that maintain stability under sustained workloads. Four DDR5 DIMM slots support dual-channel memory in capacities up to 256 GB (48 GB per single DIMM), with speeds ranging from 4400 MT/s up to 8000 MT/s in overclocked profiles. Both AMD EXPO and Intel XMP memory profiles are supported, making it straightforward to unlock rated XMP/EXPO speeds on compatible kits. Storage options are generous: the primary M.2 slot (M2A_CPU) connects directly to the CPU and delivers PCIe 5.0 x4 bandwidth when paired with Ryzen 7000 series processors, enabling next-generation NVMe SSD speeds. A second CPU-connected M.2 slot (M2B_CPU) runs at PCIe 4.0 x4, and a third chipset-connected slot (M2C_SB) also operates at PCIe 4.0. All three M.2 connectors support up to 25110-length drives.
