Overview
The Gigabyte B650I UD AX DDR5 is a Mini-ITX form-factor motherboard (17.0 cm × 17.0 cm) built on the AMD B650 chipset and designed for the AM5 socket. It is compatible with AMD Ryzen 7000 and Ryzen 8000 Series processors, giving builders access to a current-generation platform in a compact chassis. Memory support spans two DDR5 DIMM slots with a dual-channel architecture, accommodating up to 96 GB total (48 GB per slot) across rated speeds of 4400, 4800, and 5200 MT/s, with overclocked profiles reaching 5600, 6000, 6200, and 6400 MT/s. Both AMD EXPO and Intel XMP profiles are recognised automatically from the SPD, so achieving rated memory speeds requires nothing more than enabling the chosen profile in BIOS. Power delivery relies on a 5+2+1 phase digital VRM with DrMOS components, fed through standard 24-pin ATX and 8-pin ATX 12V connectors. Storage is handled by one M.2 Socket 3 (M-key, 2280) connector integrated in the CPU, supporting PCIe 4.0 x4 NVMe SSDs, alongside two SATA 6 Gb/s ports. RAID 0 and RAID 1 are available for both NVMe and SATA devices. Networking is covered by a Realtek Wi-Fi 6E module (RTL8852CE) supporting 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and 6 GHz bands with 802.11ax and 160 MHz channel width, Bluetooth 5.3, and a Realtek 2.5GbE wired LAN port (10/100/1000/2500 Mbps). Display outputs include one DisplayPort 1.4 (up to 3840×2160 @ 144 Hz) and one HDMI 2.1 port (up to 4096×2160 @ 60 Hz) for use with AMD processors featuring integrated graphics. The back panel also carries one USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A port, one USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C port, one USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A port, three USB 2.0/1.1 ports, three audio jacks, the Q-Flash Plus button, and two SMA Wi-Fi antenna connectors. Internal headers include addressable LED and RGB LED strip headers, a CPU fan header, two system fan headers, and USB Type-C and USB 3.2 Gen 1 internal headers. Fan control is managed through Smart Fan 6, which provides PWM and DC support, per-header fan curves with up to seven control points, and a Fan Stop function. BIOS updates can be applied via Q-Flash Plus without installing a CPU, memory, or graphics card. The AMI UEFI BIOS is stored on a 256 Mbit flash chip and is managed through GIGABYTE Control Center software. The board carries a 3-year warranty.
