The GIGABYTE B850M Aorus Elite ICE-P is a Micro-ATX motherboard built on the AMD B850 chipset with an AM5 socket, designed for AMD Ryzen 9000, 8000, and 7000 series processors. Its white ICE-P aesthetic makes it a natural fit for clean, minimalist builds, while its feature set targets gamers and power users seeking a mid-range platform with next-generation connectivity. At the heart of the board's power delivery is a 12+2+2 phase digital twin VRM solution, complemented by VRM Thermal Armor Advanced heatsinks to sustain stable operation under sustained CPU loads. The platform supports DDR5 memory across four DIMM slots with a capacity ceiling of 256 GB (up to 64 GB per module) and dual-channel operation. Memory frequencies scale from 4800 MT/s native up to 8200 MT/s via overclocking, with support for both AMD EXPO and Intel XMP profiles. Storage is handled through two M.2 slots: the primary slot (M2A_CPU) supports PCIe 5.0 x4 NVMe with Ryzen 9000 and 7000 series CPUs, while the secondary slot (M2B_CPU) runs at PCIe 4.0 x4. Four SATA 6 Gb/s ports round out storage options, and RAID 0, 1, 5, and 10 configurations are available for NVMe drives (RAID 5 requires a Ryzen 9000 series CPU). The primary PCIe x16 slot operates at PCIe 5.0 x16 with Ryzen 9000/7000 CPUs and features GIGABYTE's PCIe UD Slot reinforcement. Both M.2 slots and the PCIe slot use EZ-Latch Plus and EZ-Latch Click screwless release mechanisms for easier installation and upgrades. Networking is covered by a Realtek 2.5GbE LAN controller alongside a Realtek Wi-Fi 7 RTL8922AE module supporting 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax/be across 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and 6 GHz bands with 160 MHz channel width and Bluetooth 5.4. The WIFI EZ-Plug connector simplifies antenna attachment. Note: full Wi-Fi 7 functionality requires Windows 11 SV3; 6 GHz band availability is subject to local regulatory approval. Internal headers include a USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 Type-C front-panel header, addressable RGB Gen 2 and standard RGB headers, and comprehensive fan/pump control headers managed through GIGABYTE's Smart Fan 6 system. Audio is powered by a Realtek ALC1220 codec with High Definition Audio supporting up to 7.1-channel output and DSD playback on the back-panel line-out.
