The Gigabyte Z690 UD AX WiFi DDR4 is an ATX-form-factor motherboard (305 mm × 244 mm) built on the Intel Z690 Express Chipset, designed for 12th Generation Intel Core processors in the LGA1700 socket, including Core i9, i7, and i5 lines. Its Direct 16+1+2 Digital VRM design, rated at 60 A per power stage and paired with Tantalum Polymer Capacitors, delivers stable power delivery under sustained workloads, while the Ultra Performance VRM Heatsinks help keep temperatures in check during intensive use. Memory support covers four DDR4 DIMM slots in a dual-channel configuration, accepting up to 128 GB (32 GB per DIMM) of non-ECC unbuffered DDR4 from 2133 MHz base speed up to 5333 MHz via XMP overclocking profiles. Three M.2 slots — one routed through the CPU and two through the chipset — each support PCIe 4.0 x4 NVMe SSDs and are fitted with Enlarged Thermal Guards to manage drive temperatures. Six SATA 6 Gb/s ports complement the M.2 options, with support for RAID 0, 1, 5, and 10.
