The GIGABYTE Z790 D AC is an ATX-form-factor motherboard built on the Intel Z790 Express Chipset and designed for Intel LGA1700 processors spanning the 12th, 13th, and 14th Generation Core, Pentium Gold, and Celeron families. Its robust 12+1+1 phase digital VRM is paired with an enlarged MOSFET heatsink to maintain power-delivery stability under sustained loads, while M.2 Thermal Guards help preserve NVMe SSD performance across all three M.2 slots. Memory support centres on four DDR5 DIMM slots in a dual-channel configuration, accepting up to 256 GB of system memory. With qualifying 13th and 14th Generation Core i9/i7 processors, the board supports XMP 3.0 overclocking profiles up to DDR5-7600 (O.C.), with GIGABYTE's DDR5 XMP Booster providing pre-defined tuning profiles for simplified configuration. Base DDR5-4800/4400 speeds are available across the full supported CPU range.
