The GIGABYTE Z890M AORUS Elite WiFi 7 DDR5 is a Micro-ATX motherboard built for Intel Core Ultra Series 2 processors on the LGA1851 socket, powered by the Intel Z890 Express Chipset. Its compact 24.4 cm × 24.4 cm footprint makes it an ideal choice for space-conscious high-performance builds without compromising on feature density. At the heart of the power delivery sits a digital-twin 12+1+2 phase VRM solution, paired with VRM Thermal Armor Advanced for sustained thermal headroom under demanding workloads. Four DDR5 DIMM slots support up to 256 GB of system memory (64 GB per module), with native speeds of DDR5 5600/6400 MT/s and overclocked profiles reaching up to DDR5 9200 MT/s via XMP. CUDIMM and ECC Un-buffered DIMM modules are also supported. Storage options are generous: three M.2 slots are included, with one PCIe 5.0 x4 slot (M2A_CPU) for next-generation NVMe SSDs, one PCIe 4.0 x4 slot (M2B_CPU), and one PCIe 4.0 x4 chipset-connected slot (M2Q_SB). Four SATA 6 Gb/s ports round out the storage connectivity, with RAID 0/1/5/10 supported on both NVMe and SATA arrays. M.2 slots feature EZ-Latch Plus quick-release and EZ-Latch Click screwless heatsink designs. Connectivity is led by Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be, 2.4/5/6 GHz, 160 MHz channels, Bluetooth 5.4) and a Realtek 2.5GbE LAN port. The back panel includes a USB4 Type-C port with DisplayPort 2.1 Alt-mode (up to 3840×2160 @ 144 Hz), a USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A port, four USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports, four USB 2.0 ports, a dedicated DisplayPort 2.1 output, and an optical S/PDIF connector. Internally, two Thunderbolt add-in card connectors expand high-speed peripheral options. The primary PCIe x16 slot (CPU-direct) runs PCIe 5.0 at full x16 bandwidth and is reinforced with Ultra Durable PCIe Armor for mechanical stability under heavy graphics cards. A secondary PCIe x16 physical slot runs at PCIe 4.0 x4 via the chipset. Audio is handled by a Realtek HD Audio CODEC supporting up to 7.1-channel output and S/PDIF optical out. GIGABYTE's AORUS AI SNATCH software enables AI-assisted auto-overclocking, while AI Perfdrive generates customized BIOS presets. Q-Flash Plus allows BIOS updates without a CPU or memory installed.
