At its core, the i5-10400 features six physical cores with Intel Hyper-Threading Technology enabled, yielding twelve simultaneous threads for improved multi-tasking responsiveness. The processor operates at a base clock frequency of 2.9GHz and can boost up to 4.3GHz under load via Intel Turbo Boost Technology 2.0, allowing it to dynamically scale performance when single-threaded tasks demand it. The 12MB Intel Smart Cache helps reduce latency on frequently accessed data across all six cores. Memory support extends to dual-channel DDR4-2666, with a maximum addressable capacity of 128GB across two channels, delivering up to 41.6GB/s of memory bandwidth.
