Overview
The MSI B560M Pro WiFi is a Micro-ATX (mATX) motherboard built on the Intel B560 chipset for LGA1200 processors. It is designed to support Intel 10th Generation Core, Pentium Gold, and Celeron processors, as well as Intel 11th Generation Core processors, making it a versatile platform for productivity and entry-level workstation builds. Memory support is handled through two DDR4 slots accommodating up to 64 GB of non-ECC, unbuffered RAM in dual-channel configuration. With an 11th Gen processor installed, JEDEC speeds reach 3200 MHz, while XMP profiles can push 1DPC 1R configurations up to 5200 MHz. Intel 10th Gen CPUs support JEDEC speeds up to 2933 MHz. For storage, the board features six SATA 6 Gb/s ports and one M.2 Key-M slot. When paired with an 11th Gen CPU, the M.2 slot operates at PCIe 4.0 x4 speeds directly from the CPU; with a 10th Gen CPU it runs at PCIe 3.0 x4 or SATA 6 Gb/s via the B560 chipset. Supported M.2 form factors include 2242, 2260, and 2280. The primary PCIe x16 slot supports PCIe 4.0 with an 11th Gen CPU and PCIe 3.0 with a 10th Gen CPU, complemented by two PCIe 3.0 x1 slots from the chipset. Connectivity is a notable strength. Wireless networking is provided by an Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX201 module (802.11ax, 2.4 GHz / 5 GHz with 160 MHz channel support, MU-MIMO TX/RX, up to 2.4 Gbps theoretical), pre-installed in the Key-E M.2 slot. Bluetooth 5.1 is also included. Wired networking is delivered by a Realtek 8125B controller at 2.5 Gbps. USB connectivity spans 6x USB 2.0 ports (2 rear, 4 internal) and 6x USB 3.2 Gen 1 5 Gbps ports (4 rear Type-A, 2 via internal header). Onboard video outputs include one VGA port (up to 2048×1280 @ 60 Hz), one DisplayPort 1.4 (up to 4K @ 60 Hz), and one HDMI 2.0b with HDR (up to 4K @ 60 Hz). Audio is handled by a Realtek ALC897 codec supporting 7.1-channel High Definition Audio. RGB lighting headers include one 4-pin RGB and one 3-pin RAINBOW connector, along with 4x EZ Debug LEDs for straightforward troubleshooting. The UEFI AMI BIOS supports ACPI 6.2 and SMBIOS 3.0 in a multi-language interface. The board dimensions are 9.3 in. × 8 in. (23.6 cm × 20.3 cm), conforming to the mATX standard.
