The MSI MAG COREFROZR AA13 ARGB is a 120mm single-tower CPU air cooler designed for mainstream gaming and productivity builds. Part of MSI’s MAG series, it is engineered for thermal stability and durability across extended usage sessions. At the heart of the cooler’s heat-dissipation system are four 6mm copper heat pipes arranged in a direct-contact layout, meaning the heat pipes sit flush against the CPU integrated heat spreader rather than passing through a separate base block. This direct-touch configuration shortens the thermal path from processor to fin stack, helping channel heat away from the CPU more efficiently. The heat pipes feed into a fin array of 50 tightly packed aluminium fins designed for a low-resistance airflow path. Airflow is delivered by a single 120mm CycloBlade7 fan running on a rifle-bearing mechanism. Rifle bearings reduce rotational friction and audible noise compared with standard sleeve bearings, and they also contribute to extended operational lifespan. The fan is PWM-controlled, allowing the motherboard to modulate speed based on thermal load for a quieter idle experience. The top shroud features a laser-etched MSI Dragon emblem and the fan incorporates addressable RGB lighting manageable via MSI CENTER software, letting users synchronise colour effects with other MSI ARGB components.
