NOCTUA NH-D15 CH.BK Chromax Black Dual Tower CPU Air Cooler (Black)

The Noctua NH-D15 chromax.black is the all-black variant of Noctua's flagship dual-tower CPU air cooler, designed for enthusiasts and overclockers who want top-tier thermal performance without RGB lighting. The heatsink features a six-heatpipe dual-tower architecture with copper base, copper heatpipes, aluminium cooling fins, soldered fin-to-heatpipe joints, and a black nickel-plated finish throughout. Soldered joints — as opposed to the press-fit construction used on many competing coolers — prevent the thermal interface from degrading over years of heat cycling. Two NF-A15 HS-PWM chromax.black 140 mm fans are included, each running an SSO2 self-stabilising oil-pressure bearing. The fans spin between 300 RPM (PWM minimum) and 1500 RPM (maximum), delivering up to 140.2 m³/h of airflow at a peak noise level of 24.6 dB(A). With the supplied Low-Noise Adaptors fitted, maximum speed drops to 1200 RPM and noise falls to 19.2 dB(A) — useful for near-silent builds. A 4-pin PWM Y-cable lets both fans connect to a single motherboard header. The widened 150 mm fin stack (widened from 140 mm compared to the older NH-D14) combined with the expanded heatpipe spacing promotes more uniform heat distribution across a larger surface area. In dual-fan configuration the cooler measures 165 mm tall, 150 mm wide, and 161 mm deep, weighing 1320 g. Without fans: 160 × 150 × 135 mm, 980 g. RAM clearance is 64 mm in single-fan mode and 32 mm in dual-fan mode, covering most standard-height modules. Mounting is handled by Noctua's SecuFirm2 system, which supports Intel LGA1150/1151/1155/1156/1200/2011/2066 and AMD AM2/AM2+/AM3/AM3+/FM1/FM2/FM2+ with included hardware; AM4 support has been included since 2019. NT-H1 thermal compound, a black SecuFirm2 mounting kit, and a Noctua metal case-badge are also in the box. Optional NA-HC3/NA-HC4 heatsink covers and NA-SAVP3 anti-vibration pads (sold separately) allow colour customisation.
