The Noctua NH-D15S Chromax Black (SKU: NH-D15S-CH-BK) is an all-black variant of Noctua's NH-D15S, bringing a stealth aesthetic to the NH-D15S's proven asymmetrical dual-tower heatsink platform. The heatsink features a black-coated aluminium fin stack soldered onto copper heat-pipes with nickel plating — a construction choice that eliminates the press-fit loosening that can occur with purely crimped designs over years of thermal cycling. The included NF-A15 HS-PWM chromax.black 140mm fan operates with PWM speed control, allowing the motherboard to govern fan speed automatically. A bundled NA-RC7 Low-Noise Adaptor lets you cap fan speed at 1,200 rpm instead of the 1,500 rpm maximum for an even quieter profile. The fan extends slightly below the heatsink fin-stack, directing airflow over surrounding VRM and motherboard components as well as the CPU heat-pipes.
