Six heat pipes draw heat efficiently from the base through the aluminium fin stack, which spans a surface area exceeding 6,000 cm². Cooling airflow is handled by two of Noctua’s NF-A15 140mm fans arranged in a push-pull configuration. Both fans support PWM speed control, letting the motherboard ramp RPM up under load and drop back toward near-silence during lighter tasks — an important quality-of-life feature in noise-sensitive production environments such as audio and video editing suites or professional workstations. A splitter cable is included so both fans can be driven from a single fan header. The SecuFirm2 mounting system has been updated to satisfy the higher contact-pressure requirements of the sTR5 and SP6 sockets.
