The Noctua NH-U9S chromax.black is the all-black edition of Noctua's acclaimed NH-U9S single-tower CPU air cooler, purpose-built for builders who demand quiet, efficient thermal management without sacrificing a clean aesthetic. The cooler's compact 92mm tower heatsink features a fully black-coated aluminium fin stack soldered directly to copper heat-pipes — a construction technique that maintains a superior thermal interface over years of thermal cycling, unlike press-fitted designs where differential expansion between copper and aluminium can cause the joint to loosen over time. Powering airflow is the included NF-A9 PWM chromax.black fan, which leverages Noctua's proprietary AAO (Advanced Acoustic Optimisation) frame and Flow Acceleration Channels. The fan operates between 400 RPM and 2000 RPM under PWM control, delivering up to 78.9 m³/h of airflow at a maximum noise level of just 22.8 dB(A).
