The Thermaltake AX500 is a full tower PC chassis engineered for high-performance workstations and gaming rigs that demand extensive cooling and storage flexibility. Built with an SPCC steel frame and a tempered glass side panel, the AX500 combines structural rigidity with a premium visual profile that showcases your components. At the heart of this chassis is its exceptional cooling architecture. Four 140mm CT140 fans come pre-installed — three in the front and one at the rear — spinning at up to 1500 RPM and rated at 30.5 dBA for a balance of airflow and acoustic comfort. Beyond the pre-installed fans, the AX500 supports up to fourteen 120mm or nine 140mm fans across the front, top, rear, right side, and PSU cover positions, giving builders the flexibility to configure airflow exactly as their system demands. Radiator support is equally generous. The front panel accommodates AIO coolers up to 420mm, while the top panel also fits radiators up to 420mm. The rear supports up to a 140mm radiator, enabling dual large-format liquid cooling loops simultaneously. Note that the top fan and radiator stack has an 82mm combined thickness limit. Motherboard compatibility is broad: the AX500 accepts Mini-ITX, Micro-ATX, ATX, E-ATX (up to 12" × 13"), SSI-CEB, and SSI-EEB form factors. The motherboard tray also includes cutouts for hidden-connector boards in Micro-ATX and ATX sizes, supporting platforms such as the ASUS BTF Series, MSI PROJECT ZERO Series, and GIGABYTE PROJECT STEALTH Series. Storage is handled by two drive cages under the PSU cover accommodating up to four 3.5" hard drives, plus a drive plate behind the motherboard that holds one 3.5" or two 2.5" drives — totalling up to five 3.5" or six 2.5" bays. Eight expansion slots accommodate multi-GPU or high-expansion builds, and a built-in GPU holder prevents graphics card sag. The front I/O panel provides a USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port, two USB 3.0 ports, and an HD Audio jack for convenient day-to-day connectivity.
