Overview
The ASRock X570 Taichi is a full-size ATX motherboard built on the AMD X570 chipset and designed for AMD AM4 socket processors, including Ryzen 2000 and Ryzen 3000 series CPUs. Its ATX form factor measures 12.0 inches by 9.6 inches (30.5 cm x 24.4 cm), making it compatible with standard mid-tower and full-tower cases. At the heart of the X570 Taichi is a 14-phase power delivery system driven by an Intersil Digital PWM controller and 50A Dr.MOS components, backed by a 60A Premium Power Choke and Nichicon 12K Black Caps for stable long-term operation. Four DDR4 DIMM slots support up to 128 GB of dual-channel memory, with compatibility for XMP profiles and speeds up to DDR4 4666+ (OC) with Ryzen 3000 series (Matisse) CPUs. ECC unbuffered memory is also supported on compatible CPU configurations. Storage options are extensive: three Hyper M.2 sockets each support PCIe Gen4 x4 (up to 64 Gb/s) with Matisse CPUs, and eight SATA3 6.0 Gb/s connectors support RAID 0, 1, and 10 configurations. The three reinforced Steel Slot PCIe 4.0 x16 connectors support multi-GPU configurations including NVIDIA NVLink, Quad SLI, and AMD 3-Way CrossFireX when paired with compatible Ryzen 3000 series processors. Connectivity includes an Intel Wi-Fi 6 802.11ax module (dual-band 2.4/5 GHz, up to 2.4 Gbps) with Bluetooth 5.0 and MU-MIMO support, alongside an Intel I211AT Gigabit LAN controller. The rear I/O panel provides one USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A port (10 Gb/s), one USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C port (10 Gb/s), six USB 3.2 Gen1 ports, HDMI 2.0 output, Optical S/PDIF out, and gold-plated HD audio jacks. Audio is handled by a Realtek ALC1220 codec delivering 7.1-channel HD audio with Purity Sound 4 technology, PCB-isolated audio layers, and a front-panel NE5532 headset amplifier supporting headphones up to 600 ohms. RGB lighting is managed via ASRock Polychrome SYNC, with an onboard RGB header and an addressable LED header.
