Overview
The ASRock Z690 Steel Legend DDR4 is a full-size ATX motherboard built on Intel's Z690 chipset, designed to support 12th Generation Intel Core processors (LGA1700 socket). Its 13-phase Dr.MOS power design uses 50A integrated power stages and Nichicon 12K Black capacitors to deliver stable, efficient power to the CPU under sustained workloads and overclocking scenarios. Memory support spans four DDR4 DIMM slots with a native DDR4 3200 speed and overclocking capability up to 5333+ MHz (OC) via Intel XMP 2.0 profiles, with a maximum installed capacity of 128 GB. The primary PCIe 5.0 x16 slot — connected directly to the CPU — employs a surface-mount design to maximise signal integrity at the full 128 GB/s bandwidth that the standard supports. Additional expansion is provided by a PCIe 4.0 x16 slot (running at x4 from the chipset) and two PCIe 3.0 x16/x1 slots. Storage is well catered for: two Hyper M.2 sockets support PCIe Gen4 x4 (64 Gb/s) NVMe drives, one Ultra M.2 socket accommodates both SATA3 and PCIe Gen3 x4 NVMe devices, and eight SATA3 6.0 Gb/s connectors round out the array.
