The ASUS ROG Strix Z790-H Gaming WiFi DDR5 is a full-size ATX motherboard built on Intel's Z790 chipset, designed for Intel 12th and 13th Generation Core processors on the LGA1700 socket. It pairs a robust power delivery architecture with a wide set of connectivity options to handle demanding gaming and productivity workloads. At the heart of the board's power delivery is a 16+1 power stage configuration, with each stage rated at 80A. Dual 8-pin ATX12V connectors feed power to the VRM, which is managed by ASUS's Extreme Engine Digi+ circuitry featuring 5K black metallic capacitors and alloy chokes engineered for thermal and electrical resilience. Thick VRM heatsinks dissipate heat efficiently, and a six-layer PCB aids in thermal management around the voltage regulators. For memory, the board provides four DIMM slots supporting up to 192 GB of DDR5 RAM in dual-channel mode. Speeds range from native DDR5-4800 up to DDR5-7800+ under XMP overclocking profiles, with ASUS OptiMem II helping to ensure signal integrity.
