The GIGABYTE B850 Eagle WiFi 6E is a full-size ATX motherboard (30.5 cm x 24.4 cm) built on the AMD B850 chipset with the AM5 socket, offering compatibility with AMD Ryzen 9000, 8000, and 7000 Series processors. It is engineered for enthusiast-level gaming and productivity builds that demand fast memory, next-generation storage, and reliable wireless connectivity. The board features four DDR5 DIMM slots supporting up to 256 GB of system memory (with 64 GB maximum per single DIMM), running at speeds from 4400 MT/s up to 8200 MT/s under overclocking. Both AMD EXPO and Intel XMP memory profiles are supported, allowing easy one-click memory performance tuning. The dual-channel architecture ensures balanced bandwidth across workloads. Storage options are plentiful. Three M.2 Socket 3 connectors support NVMe SSDs up to type 22110 and 2280. The primary CPU-connected M.2 slot (M2A_CPU) supports PCIe 5.0 x4 with Ryzen 9000 and 7000 processors, delivering exceptional sequential throughput. A second CPU-connected slot (M2B_CPU) runs at PCIe 4.0 x4, and a chipset-connected slot (M2C_SB) supports PCIe 4.0 x2. Four SATA 6 Gb/s connectors are also available. RAID configurations (0, 1, 10) are supported for both SATA and NVMe devices, with RAID 5 available exclusively on Ryzen 9000 Series CPUs. For discrete graphics, the primary PCIe x16 slot runs at PCIe 5.0 x16 bandwidth on Ryzen 9000 and 7000 processors, ensuring headroom for current and upcoming GPU generations. Three additional PCIe x16 physical slots operate at PCIe 3.0 x1 via the chipset for expansion cards. Wireless connectivity is handled by Wi-Fi 6E supporting the 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and 6 GHz bands with 802.11ax 160 MHz channel support and Bluetooth 5.3. Wired networking uses a Realtek Gigabit Ethernet (1 Gbps) controller. The rear I/O panel includes two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports, one USB Type-C (3.2 Gen 1), two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, four USB 2.0 ports, a DisplayPort 1.4 (up to 3840x2160@144 Hz), an HDMI 2.1 port (up to 4096x2160@60 Hz), and three audio jacks for 7.1-channel surround audio via the Realtek HD Audio CODEC.
