The Gigabyte Z790 AORUS ELITE AX-W is an ATX-form-factor Intel motherboard built on the Z790 Express Chipset and designed around the LGA1700 socket, supporting 12th and 13th Generation Intel Core, Pentium Gold, and Celeron processors. It pairs a robust power-delivery system with modern connectivity to serve enthusiast builders and content creators who demand stable, high-throughput platforms. Power delivery is handled by a twin 16+1+2 phase digital VRM solution, with 70A Smart Power Stages per VCORE phase, a fully covered MOSFET heatsink, and a 6 mm heatpipe to keep temperatures in check under sustained loads. A 7.5 W/mK thermal pad and a 6-layer PCB with 2× copper layers reinforce thermal headroom across the board. Memory support spans four DDR5 DIMM slots in a dual-channel configuration, accepting up to 128 GB total (32 GB per slot maximum).
