The MSI MAG B760M Mortar WIFI II is a compact Micro-ATX motherboard built on Intel's B760 chipset, designed for builders who want a capable, well-equipped platform in a smaller footprint. It supports Intel Core 12th, 13th, and 14th Generation processors via the LGA1700 socket, along with Intel Pentium Gold and Celeron processors, making it a versatile foundation for a wide range of Intel-based builds. Memory flexibility is a standout attribute. The board features four DDR5 DIMM slots with a maximum capacity of 192GB. It supports JEDEC speeds from 4800MHz up to 5600MHz, and overclocked profiles ranging from 6000MHz all the way to 7800MHz and beyond. Dual-channel operation is supported, along with Intel Extreme Memory Profile (XMP) for straightforward memory tuning. Connectivity is comprehensive. The board includes Intel Wi-Fi 6E, capable of operating across 2.4GHz, 5GHz, and 6GHz bands at up to 2.4Gbps with MU-MIMO support, plus Bluetooth 5.3. Wired networking is handled by a Realtek 2.5Gbps LAN controller for reliable, high-bandwidth connections. Storage options cover three M.2 slots — each supporting up to PCIe 4.0 x4 — and four SATA 6Gbps ports with RAID 0, 1, 5, and 10 support. Expansion slots include a PCIe 5.0 x16 slot reinforced with Steel Armor for heavy graphics cards, and a secondary PCIe 3.0 x4 slot from the chipset. Thermal management relies on an extended VRM heatsink with 7W/mK thermal pads on the MOSFETs and additional choke thermal pads.
