The NZXT N7 Z790 Wi-Fi DDR5 ATX Motherboard in Black is a full-featured Intel Z790 Express chipset board built for 12th and 13th Generation Intel Core processors using the LGA 1700 socket. Its clean, fully covered aesthetic makes it a natural fit for showcase builds, with an integrated rear I/O shield and a full-cover panel available in black or white that conceals cabling and contributes to a visually unified interior. Power delivery is handled by a 16+1+2 DrMOS power phase design on a 2 oz copper PCB, providing stable voltage regulation for both stock and overclocked configurations. The board supports DDR5 memory across four DIMM slots, accommodating up to 128 GB in dual-channel mode. Intel XMP 3.0 is supported for straightforward memory frequency tuning, with overclocked speeds achievable above 5000 MHz (subject to the memory QVL). Storage options are generous: three M.2 connectors (M.2_1 and M.2_2 each support PCIe 4.0 x4 in Type 2242/2260/2280 and up to 22110 form factors respectively; M.2_3 supports PCIe 4.0 x4 and SATA 6 Gb/s), plus four SATA 6 Gb/s ports and Intel VMD support. The primary PCIe slot runs at PCIe 5.0 x16 for the latest discrete GPUs, accompanied by two PCIe 4.0 x16 slots operating at x4 mode and two PCIe 3.0 x1 slots for additional expansion. Wireless connectivity is provided by dual-band Wi-Fi 6E with two rear SMA antenna connectors, and Bluetooth 5.2. Wired networking uses a Realtek RTL8125BG 2.5G LAN controller. Audio is driven by a Realtek ALC1220 codec delivering 8-channel HD audio with five rear audio jacks and an optical S/PDIF output. The rear I/O panel includes one HDMI port, one USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 Type-C (20 Gbps), two USB 3.2 Gen 2, three USB 3.2 Gen 1, two USB 2.0, and one RJ45 LAN port, alongside a Clear CMOS button for convenient BIOS recovery.
