The ASRock Z690 Taichi WiFi DDR5 is a full-size ATX motherboard built around Intel's Z690 chipset, designed to support 12th Generation Intel Core processors in the LGA1700 socket. Its 20-phase Smart Power Stage (SPS) Dr.MOS power delivery system uses 105A power stages alongside Premium Memory Alloy Chokes and Nichicon 12K Black Caps to supply stable, regulated power to the CPU — a configuration suited to sustained performance workloads and overclocking sessions alike. Memory support is handled via four DDR5 DIMM slots capable of holding up to 128 GB of non-ECC unbuffered DDR5 RAM. Native speeds reach DDR5-4400 in single-DIMM-per-channel configuration, with overclocked profiles supported up to DDR5-6400+. Intel XMP 3.0 profiles are recognised, simplifying memory tuning within the UEFI. Expansion flexibility is a clear strength. Killer DoubleShot Pro allows simultaneous use of wired and wireless connections with intelligent traffic prioritisation. Audio is managed by a Realtek ALC1220 codec delivering 7.1-channel HD audio with Content Protection, paired with an ESS SABRE9218 DAC on the front-panel output (130 dB SNR) and WIMA audio capacitors. Nahimic Audio software support is included. Graphics outputs consist of one HDMI 2.1 port (up to 4K/60 Hz) and two Thunderbolt 4 Type-C ports (up to 8K/60 Hz with a compatible iGPU-equipped processor), supporting triple-monitor configurations.
