Overview
The GIGABYTE B560M Aorus Pro AX is a Micro ATX motherboard built on the Intel B560 Express chipset, designed for Intel LGA1200 socket processors from the 10th and 11th generations. It supports Core i9, i7, i5, i3, Pentium, and Celeron processors from the 10th generation, while 11th generation support extends to Core i9, i7, and i5 families. The board measures 24.4 cm x 24.4 cm and fits standard Micro ATX cases. At the heart of its power delivery is a 12+1 phase digital VRM solution using 50A DrMOS components, paired with an 8-pin ATX 12V power connector. This configuration is designed to deliver stable voltage to demanding Intel 11th Gen processors, including those pushed with memory overclocking. Shielded memory routing further supports memory stability at elevated frequencies. Four DDR4 DIMM slots support up to 128 GB of system memory in dual-channel configuration, with XMP profile support. With 11th Gen processors, DDR4 speeds up to 5333 MHz (O.C.) are supported; 10th Gen Core i9/i7 CPUs support up to DDR4 2933, while i5/i3/Pentium/Celeron models top out at DDR4 2666. Storage connectivity is comprehensive: one M.2 slot (M2P_CPU) supports PCIe 4.0 x4 NVMe drives up to 2280 size when using an 11th Gen processor, while a second M.2 slot on the board's rear (M2A_SB) accepts PCIe 3.0 x4 or SATA-based M.2 drives up to 22110 size. Six SATA 6 Gb/s ports round out storage options, and the board is Intel Optane Memory Ready. Networking is handled by the Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX200 module, supporting 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax on 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz dual-band frequencies with 160 MHz channel support and up to 2.4 Gbps theoretical data rates. Bluetooth 5.1 is included. Wired networking uses an Intel 2.5 GbE LAN chip with cFosSpeed traffic-shaping software bundled. The rear I/O panel includes a USB Type-C port with USB 3.2 Gen2x2 (20 Gb/s) support, one USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A port, two USB 3.2 Gen1 ports, six USB 2.0/1.1 ports, a PS/2 keyboard/mouse combo port, DisplayPort 1.2 (up to 4096x2304 at 60 Hz), HDMI 1.4 (up to 4096x2160 at 30 Hz), RJ-45, and six audio jacks for 7.1-channel audio via a Realtek HD Audio codec. Internal headers add further USB 3.2 Gen1 and USB 2.0 connectivity. Expansion consists of one PCIe x16 slot (PCIe 4.0 with 11th Gen, otherwise PCIe 3.0), one PCIe x16 slot running at x4, and one PCIe x1 slot. RGB Fusion 2.0 supports addressable LED (ARGB) and standard RGB strip headers board. Smart Fan 6 provides multi-zone fan and pump control with FAN STOP support. Q-Flash Plus enables BIOS updates without a CPU or memory installed.
